You say our HealthCare System is Broken! Have you looked at our Government lately?

November 12th, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Politics

The following Video is fantastic in that it breaks down the issue of our healthcare system in fairly simple terms. Our healthcare system certainly needs reform but the question is; “should it be even more Government control or can the free market fix it?” For all of the people that are looking at this on an emotional level and want to guilt everyone into thinking that all of our healthcare system needs to be run by the Government in order for the less fortunate people to be covered please consider the following;

1) Medicare, an example of Govt. run healthcare, is broke and the people that deal with it know how sorry it is.  The Govt. has no incentive to do anything well and we have multiple examples of how that works (Dept. of Education, Medicare, Dept. of Energy, FEMA [Katrina response],etc, etc).

2) The government has no constitutional authority to step in and take control of mine or your healthcare and if it thinks it does then there should be a revolt by the people to keep the tyranny at bay.  Our Republic and its form of government has resulted in America being the greatest place in the world to live and prosper and it needs to be kept as the Founders (through the Constitution) envisioned it in order to keep it that way.  The present healthcare bill that is being proposed will fundamentally change that if approved.

3) The numbers cited about people with no healthcare or health insurance are not even close to right and are skewered to play on the compassion of Americans.  The local Health Dept. Hospitals, ER’s all take people with no health insurance and the American people ultimately pay the tab.  I would agree that there should be reform in the way that destitute people are helped medically and that there be some form of welfare health insurance (like tax breaks) but it shouldn’t mean compromising everybody’s healthcare to assuage some guilt.

4) Bottom line is that most of the problems with our healthcare costs are because the government controls 1/2 of it with Medicare and regulates the other 1/2 in ways that drive costs up and reduces efficiency.

Awesome Truth

WOW!, No Shame Rangel, Don’t get your way, just pull out the Race Card.

September 3rd, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Politics, Wind Pudding & Air Sauce

Isn’t it time for the “arrogant” Rangel to GO?  He is feeling the heat over several recent public stories on him and possible corruption so he seems to be taking a gambit that if he stirs up some controversy about Obama, the Health Care Bill , and racism it may cool off for him.  I’ve got news for him.  Its not going to go away.  I foresee that even though the Democrats own the House, Senate, and Presidency the current political climate will dictate that he gets thrown under the bus.  Obama already has enough distractions and this miscalculation by Rangel to use the race card at this critical juncture will backfire and Obama will disown him as well as others.  Obama cannot risk sliding in the polls further and destroy his chances on pushing anymore of his agenda through.

Walter E Williams Breaks Down (some of) Washington’s Current and Past Lies!

September 3rd, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Politics

This article from the brilliant Walter E. Williams is a must read.   Using 20/20 hindsight He translates the statements coming out of Washington that are trying to sell the proposed Health Care Entitlement legislation by comparing them with previous statements and results from other historical entitlement legislation.  His analysis is logical, reasoned and educational as always.

Behind the Baby Count, The Real Truth about the US Infant Mortality Rate and what it means about our Health System.

September 2nd, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Miscellaneous, Wind Pudding & Air Sauce
Excellent article that helps dispel the Media Myth that the Nation’s Infant Mortality Rate signals a failed Health System.  I love articles like this that use a little common sense and some Facts to set the record straight on reports and stories that the Media utilize time and time again to bolster a position that they want the public to believe in (such as the Infant Mortality rate being higher in the US than other Industrialized Countries ).  The Media throws these out as fact all the time when in reality it is akin to them feeding the public “Wind Pudding & Air Sauce” which has no sustenance at all.  This is just another example of the Media Malpractice that is so prevalent in our Country.

Swine Flu Pandemic Hype is truly Wind Pudding and Air Sauce

September 2nd, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Politics, Wind Pudding & Air Sauce
The myriad of over the top, blaring headlines about the coming Swine Flu Pandemic seemingly being pushed by the Media , the US Administration, as well many other Governments,  seems to be bent on stirring the population to panic with little evidence to justify the hype.

While it may be logical for the media outlets to push the hype because it sells copy and therefore advertisements, what is the real intention and goal of this administration.  I believe its not too much of a stretch to believe that this administration would use the fear of a Global Pandemic to help push through their proposed Health Care Reform plans.  This administration is advertising the potential of this Flu infecting half the population and that its death toll may rise to nearly 100,000 people.  The CDC, however is not backing this number and cautions that the current strain of the virus is not that potent and would need to further mutate in order for it reach those numbers quoted by the administration.  The latest toll is that over 550 people have succumbed to the H1N1 which is a small percentage of the almost 40,000 deaths in the US attributed to the FLU.  See the story here.

This is a typical example of what I describe as “Wind Pudding and Air Sauce” stories where the Media, Governments or Organizations report or foist stories or data that have no real sustenance to them. Like feeding the public Wind Pudding and Air Sauce.

These “Stories” or “Reports” are angled to further whatever agenda or cause that they believe in or want to profit from.  Examples of this would be “Man Made Global Warming”,  “Climate Change”, “Peak Oil Production”, “Earth Overpopulation”,  “Swine Flu”, “Bird Flu”, “Rain Forest destruction”, etc, etc.  Examples of it in the past were the Coming “Ice Age” Hype of the late seventies and the “Y2K” Catastrophe.  One thing to seriously note however is the potential in the modern communication age for one of these super-hyped stories to cause world wide panic like never before seen. Panic can now be spread far faster and wider than ever before with the advent of the Internets instant communication apps such as Twitter and whether by designed intention or not might cause some unforeseen problems of a scale not experienced before.

The other part of this story is that the Administration has spent Billions on the H1N1 vaccine even while there has been a backlash in the public to the H1N1 FLU shot.

There is fear from much of the public of the potential for mandatory Flu vaccinations even if they are not proven safe or effective.  Many people still remember the disastrous results from the Swine Flu Vaccine in the Seventies that killed many more people than the Virus. There is already growing controversy concerning the latest Vaccine. See the following quote and article.

“Even though the virus has proven far less potent than the common flu, governments across the world have been preparing to roll out mass vaccination campaigns despite the fact that the shots contain mercury and squalene and have also been linked with the killer nerve disease Guillain-Barre Syndrome”. [Paul Joseph Watson Prison Planet.com]

Swine Flu Quotes and Links

“In September or October there will be a hyped up outbreak of the swine flu which they’ll say is as bad as the bubonic plague to scare the bed-wetters to vote for healthcare reform,” said Mr Armey. “That is the only way they can push something on to the American people that the American people don’t want.” DICK ARMEY from INFOWARS.COM article

Misunderestimating Palin, Liberals Lose on Death “Panels”

August 30th, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Politics, Wind Pudding & Air Sauce

Ron Rosenmaum seems to be that rare breed of Liberal that does not have Horse blinders on when he eats from the trough of the Liberal Press. He truly seems to see through the “Wind Pudding and Air Sauce” that the Media is reporting which begs the question of why is he still a Liberal. But that question will have to wait because some things might always remain a mystery.

The fact is that He has it pegged when he dissects the Palin “Death Panel in the HealthCare (Bill)” Story. He refers to her a “One Cagey Operator” and doesn’t make the mistake of his Liberal brethren and misunderestimate her as they seem prone to do when dealing with plain speaking, conservative, politicians. He states ” Many liberals dismissed her charge as just plain dumb, as they think she is. But it was a brilliant, carefully crafted phrase by a sly politician”. That is truly remarkable insight coming from an admitted Liberal concerning Sarah Palin.

He also goes on to admit that there is truth in her argument on the “Death Panels” and expresses admiration for her ingenious, framing of the debate although He actually disagrees with her on the issue. At least he shows an understandings of her argument whereas the Liberal Media went Bonkers and once again attacked her and her so-called, simplistic, reasoning rather than respond intelligently to her valid criticism. This is a nice, short read from him at Pajamas Media and it helps shine a light on the Liberal Media’s Flaws.

Bring The Politicians Home!

August 28th, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Politics, Video

As I mentioned in a previous post I really have little faith in our Government anymore.  It has run off the tracks and is now totally out of the control of the people.  I believe something radical needs to happen to change the Status Quo in order to protect America as we know it and love it.  The Hope and Change campaign that blatantly fed on the people’s desire for real change has quickly shown itself to be more of the same, except now, multiplied exponentiallySo, What Do We Do?…  Bring The Politicians Home!
