You say our HealthCare System is Broken! Have you looked at our Government lately?

November 12th, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Politics

The following Video is fantastic in that it breaks down the issue of our healthcare system in fairly simple terms. Our healthcare system certainly needs reform but the question is; “should it be even more Government control or can the free market fix it?” For all of the people that are looking at this on an emotional level and want to guilt everyone into thinking that all of our healthcare system needs to be run by the Government in order for the less fortunate people to be covered please consider the following;

1) Medicare, an example of Govt. run healthcare, is broke and the people that deal with it know how sorry it is.  The Govt. has no incentive to do anything well and we have multiple examples of how that works (Dept. of Education, Medicare, Dept. of Energy, FEMA [Katrina response],etc, etc).

2) The government has no constitutional authority to step in and take control of mine or your healthcare and if it thinks it does then there should be a revolt by the people to keep the tyranny at bay.  Our Republic and its form of government has resulted in America being the greatest place in the world to live and prosper and it needs to be kept as the Founders (through the Constitution) envisioned it in order to keep it that way.  The present healthcare bill that is being proposed will fundamentally change that if approved.

3) The numbers cited about people with no healthcare or health insurance are not even close to right and are skewered to play on the compassion of Americans.  The local Health Dept. Hospitals, ER’s all take people with no health insurance and the American people ultimately pay the tab.  I would agree that there should be reform in the way that destitute people are helped medically and that there be some form of welfare health insurance (like tax breaks) but it shouldn’t mean compromising everybody’s healthcare to assuage some guilt.

4) Bottom line is that most of the problems with our healthcare costs are because the government controls 1/2 of it with Medicare and regulates the other 1/2 in ways that drive costs up and reduces efficiency.

Awesome Truth

Jimmy Carter, You Lie!

October 1st, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Politics, Video, Wind Pudding & Air Sauce

Talk about revisionist history! In the following interview, former President Jimmy Carter shows that he is as bad a liar as President Obama. When He revised (lied about) his role in the whole Palestinian – Israel thing so he didn’t come off as the Jew hater that he is, you could at least understand that time could blur some events in his mind but here the whole Nation heard what he said just a couple of weeks ago about Obama critics mostly being racists. The following quote from then says it all;

“I think an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man, that he’s African-American.” ~ Former President Jimmy Carter

Contrast That with This!

Beck was right. We should all have voted for Obama!

September 23rd, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Politics, Wind Pudding & Air Sauce

I heard the firestorm of criticism “The Great Levin” (and others) threw out at Glenn Beck today for his comments in his interview with Katie Couric about a McCain Presidency being worse for America than the Obama Presidency and I believe them to be way off base.  Some of the Video and audio of it is below and I think some of it is ridiculous and seems petty and a little envious.  First off I’m not defending Glenn just because I might be accused of having a man-crush on the sick twisted freak, I mean that may or may not be true. I’m not quite sure because I don’t really know what that term means. ;-)   I have listened to Beck’s radio show off and on for a long time and I do really admire him.  He is one brave man at the forefront of the Patriotic movement who is taking a lot of heat for speaking out against this administration.  I think he is an original and the only one who can even come close to Rush Limbaugh as both an entertainer and a true conservative voice.

Now don’t get me wrong, I love and respect Levin too.  He too, of course, is a great conservative voice but he is not comparable as an entertainer IMHO, not that it matters here though.  The thing here is that I think Levin just doesn’t seem to get it.  Apparently neither does a lot of others (see disgusting MSNBC clip with Scarbourough and others).  Glenn said in the interview that he thought McCain would have been worse than Obama or Hillary in the vein of a progressive Teddy Roosevelt and all these people are having an absolute conniption fit over it.  Hey, Does anybody remember Ann Coulter saying she was going to vote for Hillary over McCain! Her whole point was that a weak, compromising, progressive McCain Presidency would have set the conservative cause back many years.  Contrast that with the Obama Presidency that seems likely to usher in an unprecedented opportunity for a true conservative.

I can relate to what I think Glenn means  because I only voted for the Republican ticket because of the addition of Palin.  Honestly, In hindsight the only way that would have changed anything would have been if, God forbid, McCain would have passed away early in his administration.  Otherwise his Presidency probably would have hurt her chances, or other conservative candidates, at being the President later.  I have no problem with the thinking that a “subtle, soft, progressive slide off the cliff ” like you would likely get with McCain is more dangerous  for our country than a “run and jump off the progressive cliff ” like we are getting with Obama.  I think the American people are becoming more aware of the cliff and the potential fall and the result will be a harsh backlash against the progressives rather than what would have been a backlash against another weak. compromising, Republican administration.  Elections do have consequences and we are dealing with those consequences but it still might have been worse and I believe it would taken a lot longer to get over if McCain had been the one chosen.

Beck’s Statement and Levin’s comments

The Silent Coup of America!

September 22nd, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in MSM, Politics, Wind Pudding & Air Sauce

As a young man I had fairly liberal views like my Father, plus I had a naive, do-good, outlook on life with no real moral compass to guide me and that led me down some wasted, pointless, paths. Over the years I have learned that on the surface liberal policies often sound good, seem compassionate, and may be well intentioned, but they usually fail miserably and many times have an opposite effect than what was intended.  Look at any City that is a Democratic stronghold to see a just a glimpse of what liberal governance would become if unchecked.  To me it is becoming obviously clear that our Great Nation is now heading down that path which will include an advance of socialist policies with our government being dominated by Statists  and I now believe the resultant social apathy and economic atrophy will lead to her eventual downfall and demise if not halted.

What is happening is analogous to warming up the water in the pot to put the crabs to sleep before you boil them.  Although some of the American people are starting to wake up most seem to be asleep and will not notice the warm water start to boil until its too late. Many don’t seem to mind being that they are already victims of the propaganda from the subservient Main Stream Media as well as their Government controlled education. This silent coup is actually being pushed by many forces that have come together for the good of their causes, some overt, some covert, some well intentioned and some malicious.  All are some form of malignancy, harmful if not exposed, identified and excised. I believe the following points are valid to help halt this takeover that will result in our loss of personal Liberty and the Freedom to pursue happiness as we see fit.

  • A return to a conservative, common sense, Bible-reasonedself responsible, life-style is the way for Americans to combat the radical, liberalism that is overtaking our Country.
  • The God fearing, Liberty Loving, Founding Fathers and the hard-working, immigrant descended Americans who we inherited this great Country from should be given credit for our unparalleled success in the World and in History.
  • Americans should be more aware as a society that emulating our forefathers will help us continue with that success.  Just because we have moved along in history does not mean that we are wiser or that we need to reinvent the wheel.
  • The movements, and their interests, who want to control and to exponentially enlarge and empower our Federal Government, or worse yet, the UN, are actually destroying this Great Country and they and their actions need to be pointed out and condemned by any and all freedom loving American Patriots at every opportunity.  The Silent Majority needs to wake up and Speak Up!
  • Many of these movements, who are mostly Anti-American, and the Liberal Special Interest groups have banded together to achieve their goals and now have infiltrated and are controlling the Democratic Party.  This fact is ignored or unbeknown by many longtime, well meaning, Democrat voters and this kind of accusation usually results in denial as well as blind, partisan, support for the party leadership.  Many of their candidates and their supporting bureaucrats are now in positions of power in the Government and they are on the verge of forever changing America as we know it with unfavorable consequences for us and the ones we love.  The Main Stream Media, which is supposed to act as a watchdog for the public is actually a subversive proponent for these changes and is covertly using its influence to help to push their agenda rapidly into place.  To help combat this subversion Patriots need to overtly use the power of  capitalism to break the Main Stream Media of their subservience to these special interest by cutting off their funding by turning them off.  We especially need to loudly be against a bailout of the Newspapers that is starting to be planned. We need to actively support the Media and Mediums that are enlightening the public to the dangers from their government just like the original Press was held to do.  This will help shut down the propaganda arm of these Anti-American forces and help shine a light on their intentions.

The Tea-Party movement, with their Rally’s and rowdy Town-Halls are good signs for America as well as the growing popularity of TV shows such as Glenn Beck but that is still not Main Stream America.  It should be but unfortunately that America is now a minority.  We need to get behind those types of movements and medias and make them Main Stream.   We need to make patriotism politically correct again.  We need to once again popularize our Founding Fathers and teach their wisdom to our children in our schools.  We need to go after and shut down the Politicians of either party who don’t actively support these Patriotic movements and the principles that this Country was founded upon.  We need to ostracize the pundits and talking heads who denigrate those Patriots.  We can fight them if we act together to influence public opinion.  People need to quit being silent and they need to get loud just like the special interest groups do because we too have a special interest and it is our country.  We need to fight fire with fire to save our Great Nation!

Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Walter E Williams Breaks Down (some of) Washington’s Current and Past Lies!

September 3rd, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Politics

This article from the brilliant Walter E. Williams is a must read.   Using 20/20 hindsight He translates the statements coming out of Washington that are trying to sell the proposed Health Care Entitlement legislation by comparing them with previous statements and results from other historical entitlement legislation.  His analysis is logical, reasoned and educational as always.

Best Political Cartoon Ever!

August 24th, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Cartoons, Humor, Politics

Here is a the Cartoon that The Fred Thompson Show thinks “Maybe the best political cartoon ever”.  I thinks its pretty funny myself but I’m sure many people on the Left would consider it to be racist because in today’s political climate its not appropriate to criticize a black man.  However if you would ask those same people if it would apply to George Bush I’m quite sure many would concur :-) .
